A café run by Visually Impaired women

We believe nothing is impossible for the visually impaired. The Centre runs a fully equipped café, independently and wonderfully managed by our visually impaired women trained at the Centre! The cafeteria is open for everyone and we take bookings for parties as well. The café offers a wide range of snacks and food items like burgers, salads, Maggie, pasta, pizza, soup, tea coffee, cakes, muffins, and many more, made by trained blind girls. Besides cooked food, we also offer dry munchies like Mathri, Cookies, and Amla Ginger Candies. Our continuous focus is to create avenues for Visually Impaired women in self-employment by making them entrepreneurs in the long run.

Home Science & Cafe Management Training

Visually Impaired women are taught different techniques of cooking and home management. We also provide advanced training in café management. They learn right from lighting up the burner to chopping, cutting, kneading, boiling, and frying. The courses are segregated into basic and advanced courses. Upon completing the three-month basic course, VI women gain the confidence and expertise to independently manage a kitchen. The journey doesn’t end here—our Advanced Training in Cafe Management takes them to the next level, enhancing their culinary skills and preparing them for a variety of roles in a food establishment.
